BN Obedience/TS Practice

 Here is our TS practice from last night. It was after conformation practice, BN practice, and we were operating under the light from a street lamp in the park as well as the suburban's headlights... but we did it! 😁

Here is Jürgen's BN run through last night-- this is the first time he has ever done this. 

Here was my/Niko's demo last night. the wind blew the "Finish" sign and Niko was understandable freaked out. 🤪 It's amazing that dog has a BN title. 😂😂😂

The group decided to focus only on the heeling pattern last night (not only because of the diminishing light) and I ran them through it more or less. This is a new endeavor for them! It will be fun to see how much they accomplish.

TS Saturday Practice

Week 6 Exams Take 2

Daniel and Gibson had a football scrimmage in Beaver today. With Graydon out of town, I needed to take them. William helped record and the boys set up these exams completely independently. 

 

Although it has not been without frustrations, I'm proud of what Jürgen accomplished this morning/afternoon.

Week 6 Practice/Exams

Something is wrong with my internet... I've been waiting all night for these videos to upload. Blargh.

We tried three exams last night. Unfortunately Kat recorded a few seconds before and after the first exam instead of recording the actual test. So we did not get TC against 'prey' recorded. It was a cool one, too! A plate with cheese, a bowl with Koda's dinner, a plate with chicken gravy, and a plate with spaghetti sauce... and he knew what was up after the very first recall. 

TC agains defense was easily the most difficult exam... and the most entertaining. Jürgen is trying- he spent time in the morning practicing TCs while I was at work. I didn't even have to remind him! 

He has a hard time with the timing. I think there are too many things flying around that have to work perfect for him to become a magician. Week 6 has been a real struggle and source of discouragement for us. 

Hopefully that TC against defense finishes sending by the end of this millenium.

TC against social was our last one. 

And here is our TC against prey video from Sunday, since I botched recording the one yesterday. You will see some of the same disconnects with regards to timing/order of operations. I think this is a very difficult concept for Jürgen to put into practice in the moment.
